In June I met with this beautiful family for a family + birthday session. A year prior mom, dad & I were under the same tree for their maternity session! I love to see families again and see how much your children have grown. This birthday girl has been full of the sweetest personality from the moment she was born ♥

Nathan & Rochelle were married at home, hidden between cherry groves in May. We met Rochelle several years ago and love her so much. When she asked David and I to be their wedding photographer I hesitated on saying yes because I knew I was going to be a sappy mess. She’s a beautiful, selfless soul. Nathan you are a lucky man and we are so happy the two of you found each other and fell in love!
This sweet guy came to me for his newborn session when he was 10 days old and goodness he was the most perfect little guy! He gave me his best newborn GQ poses and even finished up with an adorable little smirky smile ♥

My heart fills with so much joy and love as I write about this special anniversary session. Loren & Oma fell in love when I was two years old. They are my parents ♥ While their love story isn’t mine to tell because I simply do not remember that far back, I can tell you about two beautiful people that I love. They’re the parents of three children, a crazy Boston Terrier named Leila and grandparents to five grandchildren.
A love that is so radiant as theirs is a beautiful thing to witness. Their body language, playful looks of admiration, jokes & laughter. I’ve written and erased so much in the last hour because I feel like anything I say just doesn’t equate to who they are. Love inspires me in so many ways, and I’m so thankful that their love story is one that I can admire and look up to.
They celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary in May. I look forward to all the years they have to celebrate so many more ♥

These two adorable faces ♥ I love ’em to pieces! I remember chasing this big guy around a farm-house when he was two, having to sneak in a quick snap before he was off and running again. Now look at him, he’s a big ol’ 5 year old with a new baby sister to love and play with. I’m pretty sure with the help of her big brother, she’ll be building some pretty radical Lego creations… in like 3+ years when they’re not considered “food” anyhow :D

This is Emma, the youngest of 3 gorgeous girls. She’s one of two girls I’ve had for a newborn session this entire year. Is it season of the boys?! Maybe. I was glad that I could use a bit of pink & that she gave me a few coy smiles ♥ I’ve been practicing my shushing and rocking (you have no idea how old this makes you feel when you forget how to do these things!), and Emma sure did give me a bit of confidence in my new-found skills. Or maybe she just felt bad for me and decided to be the rock star baby that she is ;)
