I’m so grateful for opportunities like these. Operation: Love Reunited is an organization that I hold close to my heart for many reasons. Most of all, it’s important for me, to somehow show my thanks to these amazing families who make so many changes in their own lives, so many sacrifices for my family and yours. If you have the chance, stop a soldier and say Thank You. Two small words that mean so much.
My family and I traveled north to Hanford on this gorgeous day so that I could meet with a family before their husband/daddy deployed again. I had such a wonderful time with them. The children laughed, tickled daddy and mommy and gave lots of hugs and kisses.
This is my favorite! Such a special moment. I backed up a bit so that I could get more in my frame, I almost missed this!
Afterwards both of our families chatted for a moment, our children played and we were on our way back to Bakersfield. I think about this family often and I include them in my prayers. I ask that you do too, not just for them though, for every family that has someone they love away from home. It would mean the world to me!
